Summer plans, etc.
Hello! Now that I am really truly making creative work again, I spent a lot of time debating if I would ever do another weekly newsletter. For now the answer is no! I have a lot of big projects in progress, and I don't want to distract too much from these larger goals with more weekly work. I am especially not interested in writing about art or technology outside of the bloody, satirical thriller I am working on that is set in the Recession-era NYC art world. Lol!
So, I think this mailing list will just be for quarterly-ish updates on what I am working on and where there might be space to collaborate and connect with all of you.
What I have been up to so far this year:
In February, I went to the San Miguel de Allende Writers’ Conference & Literary Festival. I met a lot of great people, took some invigorating craft workshops, and got to enjoy some refreshing time outside of the city. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a writing conference with unpretentious but exciting energy in a fun location.
I've had some fun publications so far, including:
"Soon Parted," a body horror comedy published in surely magazine
"Incident at Jones Beach," a retro creature feature romp in Roi Fainéant
"Forever Blue," a contemporary noir in Lowlife Lit Mag
"The Fat Baby Jesus of Art History," my first published poem in Metphrastics
I've been working on finishing a short film with guidance from Nothing Happens in this Film, an online workshop (in Spanish) with various formats for collaborative filmmaking. I’m hoping to have a friends and family screening in Mexico City in June, let me know if you would like to attend!
What’s up next:
I’ll be participating in the fiction track at Disquiet International this year to continue work on my novel. After Disquiet, I’ll be spending some additional writing time at JOYA AiR in Spain. If you’ll be in Portugal or Spain this summer and would like to connect, let me know!
So what are you up to?
What are you working on? How have you been? When will we get to cross paths again????

¡Cuéntame todo!
❤️
